Fun Activities for kids in Cape Town
For anyone with kids, you will know that planning your holiday is a lot more difficult than it used to be! Making sure the little one are well looked after is one thing, but keeping them occupied and happy is something else entirely.
Cape Town has plenty on offer for the kids – both indoor and outdoor and there is enough for families to enjoy it all together with older and younger children – and mom and dad – getting everything they need.
Spend the day at the beach, Kirstenbosch Gardens or the Green Point Urban Park or if you’re looking for something more active, you can explore one of the many trails around the city or even attempt to conquer Platteklip Gorge to get to the top of Table Mountain – be warned though, it’s a tough hike and you may end up carrying the littler ones!
Taking things indoors, the kids will love the Scratch Patch at either one of Simons Town or the V&A Waterfront, while there is plenty to learn at the South African Museum, the Planetarium and the Science Centre. The Springbok Experience is a combination of history and interactive games, meaning both the kids and the parents will be absorbed for hours on end.
